Youth helps farmers gather in crops

More than 170 youth labor unions help carry corn in the northern region of Belarus. 107 young drivers are involved in transporting grain. The most active are young people in Braslav, Verkhnedvinsk, and Dubrovno districts. As of this date about 20% of the crop have been harvested in the Vitebsk region. The average yield is 31 centners per hectare. In Orsha farms the figure is even more, over 40 centners per hectare. In the region, the harvest of winter rape is almost completed. More than 30 thousand tons of the crop have been gathered. Meanwhile, the soil is being prepared for the autumn sowing of this crop. More than 70 percent of work have been completed.
