Two important events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the CIS - the 69th meeting of the CIS Economic Council and the International Economic Forum - will take place inMoscowtoday. The CIS Economic Forum is a platform bringing together government representatives, bankers and businessmen, whose goal is to discuss joint projects in the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Today, the Forum will not only sum up cooperation results, but also focus on new forms of interaction and discuss cooperation in the banking sector, the new Customs Code and the creation of a common space for the movement of goods and investment projects that are already operating within the CIS, one of the most successful being the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.BelarusandRussiaare actively cooperating in science with 18 newUnionStateprogrammes in electronics, nanotechnologies, health care and supercomputer research prepared for 2017-2020.<br>Also, the 69th meeting of the CIS Economic Council will take place as part of the Forum. It will include a discussion of an interstate innovation cooperation programme for the next four years.
