World Bank to grant Belarus about $100 million to upgrade universities

In December 2019, the World Bank will present the results of the Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey in Belarus that was carried out by the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The survey interviewed 600 companies. Measures to improve business environment have boosted the development of the private sector. The survey showed that private companies view the business environment in Belarus as more favorable than before. Next year, the World Bank is set to grant Belarus about $100 million to upgrade universities with a special focus on science, engineering disciplines, physics and chemistry.
