Fuel export restrictions will be canceled in Belarus starting from 1 September. According to a decree of the Council of Ministers, it will be possible to travel outside the EAEU more often than once in every eight days without paying fuel duty.
The restriction was imposed in 2011, when the cost of fuel in Belarus fell heavily in relation to the currencies. Such measures were taken to prevent the export of gasoline from the country and stabilise the situation at the border checkpoints.
