Belarus plans to abolish limits on storage of alcohol

It is planned to cancel the limits on alcohol storage. The government has prepared the relevant draft decree upon the instruction of the President. The document was presented today to the Head of State. It is proposed to abolish restrictions on the number of alcoholic beverages, which citizens can store and transport inBelarus. Previously, the law allowed for no more than five liters of foreign alcohol, or15 litersof domestic alcohol. For larger quantities sales receipts were required. The government has reported on the expected affect of the decree on the turnover of alcohol products. In general, the Head of State supported the approach of the government. However, the document needs to be revised.
