The operational customs launched in Belarus is designed primarily to combat cross-border smuggling activities and help in case of an increase in freight and passenger traffic at specific border sections.Similar work has been carried out before. This year alone, 650 offenses relating to the movement of sanction goods have been detected, with over 2,000 tons of products worth 37 billion rubles confiscated. The establishment of the operational customs will allow bringing this work to a higher level.
