Unprecedented amount of apples harvested in Belarus

This year Belarusian agriculture workers harvested an unprecedented amount of apples. This season Minsk region alone is planning to harvest 150 thousand tonnes. The region pins its hopes on 25 farmers’ gardens located in the metropolitan region. A good yield of fruit trees modifies business plans of private owners, who are rapidly building additional storage facilities. Apart from apple gardens there are plantation of raspberries; farmers sell berries in their own outlets and deliver them door-to-door. Belarusian farmers are planning to open lines for the production of juices, purees and jams.
