Turchin: Serious steps made in Belarus to liberalize business regulations

The government takes serious steps to liberalize business regulations. The relevant statement was made a session of the Entrepreneurship Promotion Council. The session was focused on the presumption of good faith as a key principle of interaction between the state and the private sector. The meeting discussed the abolition of the presidential decree "On False Entrepreneurship" as well as criminal articles regarding economic violations. At present, one of the hottest topics discussed in business circles is Article 33 of the Tax Code that includes liability of legal persons and grounds for additional charges for non-payment for previous years. The session of the council featured business experts, senior officials from economic ministries and representatives of the law enforcement bodies.
