Today, Astana is hosting a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. Belarus will be represented by Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov. The heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union countries will discuss issues of economy and financial policy, energy and infrastructure, informatization, trade and customs regulations. The meeting will be held within the framework of the EXPO 2017 forum. The slogan of the exhibition is Future Energy. It highlights one of the most relevant topics of concern to the world community – alternative energy sources. While visiting the Belarusian pavilion, the Prime Minister stated that Belarus expects to develop joint energy projects with other states.
