Three new oil deposits discovered in Belarus’ Gomel region

Three new oil deposits have been discovered in Belarus’Gartsevski field of the Pripyat trough. New drilling technologies were used due to the difficult oil production conditions in this territory. In general, Belarusian oil production is now approaching the level of 2008-2009. While the Rechitski field is nearing the indicators that were reached 25-30 years ago when the region was producing record volumes of oil. In total, in 2020-2021, 7 exploration wells are planned to be drilled in Belarusian fields.
