There are 646 renewable energy installations in Belarus

For the last 15 years Belarus invested more than $730 million in the development of renewable energy sources. Those were not only domestic investments, but also financial support from Europe and the USA. Now there are about 650 renewable energy installations in the country. In the future, it is not planned to give preference to a single environmentally friendly technology. The potential of wind power in Belarus is high. The data indicate the possibility of successful development of the respective industry. According to the Paris Climate Agreement, by 2050 Belarus needs to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by half.
