Sowing of early spring crops to be finished by April in Belarus southeast

Sowing of early spring crops continues. Gomel region has involved almost all of its farm machinery in the process. A third of the plan has already been completed. Farmers are primarily aimed at preserving moisture in the soil. In the Loyevsky district, work is going on in tandem with drainage engineers. With the help of special furrow dam, they plan to increase the level of groundwater and thus provide plants with comfortable conditions. Some farms have introduced a reward system for machine operators for overfulfilling the plan. Under optimal weather conditions, the sowing of early spring crops in the southeast of the country is planned to be completed in the next 10 days.
