Non-cash subsidies for a partial reimbursement of payments for utility services will be introduced in Belarus this week. According to the President"s decree, the support will be provided to families whose utility bills exceed the set percentage of the total income, which makes up over 20 % and 15 % for urban and rural residents respectively. The subsidies will automatically apply to pensioners and people with disabilities. Other groups of citizens should contact relevant authorities for assistance.The subsidies are expected to be provided to about 400,000 families in Belarus.
