Belarus-Slovakia relations have been growing rapidly in recent years, Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Rumas said as he met with Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia Andrej Danko in Minsk. Belarus is home to 11 joint ventures and 7 foreign companies with Slovak capital. In 2018 bilateral trade turnover exceeded $220 million. Belarus attaches great importance to enhancing cooperation with Slovakia and proposes to implement joint projects in pharmaceuticals, energy, electronics, innovations, pulp and paper industry. The Prime Minister stressed that Slovak companies which do business in Belarus can use all advantages of the Eurasian Economic Union and invited them to establish joint ventures here.
