Belarus and Serbia should reach the milestone of half a billion dollars in trade turnover in the near future, as stated by President Alexander Lukashenko at today"s meeting with his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic. Last year, the volume of bilateral trade amounted to about 250 million dollars.The official talks were preceded by a friendly ceremony at the Independence Palace, featuring the Honour Guard, a red carpet and the anthems of the two countries.Today"s negotiations are expected to result in the signing of a joint statement. Tomorrow, Tomislav Nikolic is due to visit Minsk Tractor Works and, together with Alexander Lukashenko, give start to the construction of the multifunctional Minsk-World complex.
