Measures to enhance the efficiency of Belarus" economy and systematic steps to achieve this goal are outlined in a decree signed by the President yesterday. The document provides for high-quality management of state-owned enterprises, production costs reduction, fair competition and efficient import substitution, as well as accelerated development of small and medium-sized businesses and progressive decline in interest rates on loans in the economy.The disadvantaged and families with children will be supported through forming reserves in the budget up to 8 trillion rubles. In addition, it is planned to strengthen targeted social support mechanisms, in particular, to implement non-cash housing subsidies for partial payments for utility services starting October.
