The Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union should take into account national interests of Belarus. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting in the Palace of Independence, devoted to discussion of the draft treaty. The Belarusian leader points out that our economy is dependent on exports and the Customs Code is exactly the document that governs the relationship. Alexander Lukashenko notes that before taking a final decision, the Belarusian document must be verified in the government, ministries and regional executive committees. Adoption of the document should not worsen the socio-economic situation in Belarus. The treaty on the Customs Code of the EAEU is expected to be signed at the summit of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December, 26, in St. Petersburg.
