President discusses situation in Belarus' economy with Prime Minister and National Bank Chairman

The President received a report on the country"s crime situation as part of a working meeting with the Prosecutor General.

The President held a number of working meetings yesterday. The Government and National Bank authorities reported onBelarus" economic situation. Positive trends have been observed in the economy since the beginning of the year, with inflation suppressed and foreign currency market stability expected. Alexander Lukashenko aimed the Government at providing maximum support to the population and enterprise workers.
The President also discussed the crime situation in the country withBelarus" Prosecutor General. According to Alexander Konyuk, the number of crimes committed over the past six months has decreased. The trend has been observed in the past five years.
