A revised version of the Ordinance «On preventing freeloading practices» will come into force by 1 January 2019. The document was discussed at the session held by Belarus’ President. The main focus is on employment incentives. The government will determine the criteria and list of services, the cost of which must be reimbursed in full by those who come within the provisions of the updated decree. New principles and approaches to the calculation of scientists’ salaries were also high on the agenda. Depending on the concrete results of their work, scientists’ salaries can be raised three-fold. Moreover, Belarusian scientists will get e new alma mater, the National Science and Technology Park BelBiograd that will deal with fundamental research and new production. Among the proposals, there are already 30 projects.
