Belarus' new Trade Minister appointed

Vladimir Koltovich has officially taken the office ofBelarus" Trade Minister. The Ministry of Trade is the only agency which head has been appointed by a presidential decree. Previously, Koltovich occupied the posts of Deputy and First Deputy Minister of Trade. Prior to the new appointment he has worked for the Belarusian Embassy inMoscow.
Introducing the new Trade Minister, Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov said that the agency should deal with traditional tasks - such as promoting market saturation with domestic goods and pursuing anti-monopoly policy - and operate successfully in the conditions of common economic space.
