Organic products certification in Belarus

Belarus is to introduce the certification of organic products as well as its production. This means that safe and healthy food will be marked with the sign «Organic Product». During cultivation and production, chemically synthesized fertilizers, plant protection agents, veterinary drugs and other harmful substances must be completely excluded. Nowadays organic agriculture has been developing in most countries of the world. Ecologically clean products are made in 179 states. There are more than 700,000 such manufacturers in the world. However, organic products on the world market still accounts for only 7-10% of the total production.
