Eight banks will become the founders of a new interbank identification system, as stated by National Bank representatives at a press conference on the development of digital technologies.Today, about 30 percent of individuals use the services of financial institutions remotely. The creation of the new system will allow customers to remotely use banking services after a one-time registration on the basis of the Single Settlement and Information Space ERIP. As of today, its turnover amounts to nearly 3 trillion rubles.Three Belarusian banks have already introduced biometric technologies in the market.A decree establishing the interbank identification system is due to come into force from October next year.
