The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) continues to gradually decrease the refinancing rate. On 14 June it will be reduced from 14% to 13% per annum. The decisions on the interest rate policy have been prompted by positive trends in the national economy, the improved resilience of the economy to external factors, and the stronger stability of the money and credit sphere. Inflation in Belarus keeps slowing down faster than expected. The favorable situation on the currency and deposit markets continues. It is to be recalled that it’s the 5th reduction of the interest rate for the year to date.
