MTZ tractors to be equipped with Stage V emission standard engines

Starting from the next year, the Minsk Tractor Works MTZ will start producing vehicles equipped with engines compliant with advanced Stage V emission standard. The contract for a new large batch of components was signed by the MTZ management and a German supplier company. For many years, Zeppelin Power Systems has been supplying engines for the locomotives of the Belarusian Railways, as well as equipment for the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant and Gazprom Transgaz Belarus company. In European countries the new Stage V emission standard will be introduced within two years. It is much stricter than current standards and is aimed at limiting emissions of harmful substances.
