Moisture stress conditions effect crops in Belarus

The drought in Belarus has killed 2% and damaged 3,5 % of crops. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports the situation is not critical. In accordance with the recommendations of scientists, additional measures are taken to care for the crops. According to the Belarusian Meteorological Office, the weather in May was exceptionally warm. The average air temperature throughout the country was almost 17 degrees centigrade, which is 3.5 degrees above normal.
