Minsk Region fish farms increase valuable fish species production

Fish farms of Minsk Region will increase the production of valuable fish species. This year Alba fish farm alone plans to produce almost 90 tons of trout. The fish is bred in special closed-loop installations. Within a year a 13-gram hutchling increases 40 times in size and turns into a fish weighing up to a kilogram. Another promising area the farm is developing is sturgeon farming. Volma fish farm started to breed these freshwater fishes 5 years ago. Today, about 30 tons of fish are sold in Belarusian stores every year.
