Minsk hosts Belarus-South Korea business forum

Drugs and medical equipment for South Korea, investments and technologies for Belarus. A bilateral business forum took place in Minsk. Among the participants were representatives of automotive, shipbuilding, electronics and pharmaceutical industries. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, as well as partners in this economic union. The parties focused on investments and cooperation in the agricultural sector. In recent years, the bilateral trade amounted to about 200 million dollars. Also, the day before the Foreign Ministry hosted the signing a protocol on the completion of negotiations on mutual access to markets as part of Belarus' accession to the WTO. Korea has become the first country with which Belarus has concluded such a protocol after almost a decade-long hiatus. This is a signal for other countries for the speediest completion of the negotiations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out.
