Mass harvesting nearing completion

Mass harvesting in Belarus is nearing completion. Farmers have already threshed about 6 million tons of grain. It remains to harvest 15% more of the area. Almost 1.5 million tons of grain was cropped in the Minsk region. The average yield is almost 34.5 centners per hectare. In some areas, people are already preparing for the harvest festival Dozhinki. They plan to complete the harvesting before the end of the week, if the weather is favorable. Grodno, Gomel and Mogilev regions are also at the finishing line. Harvesting in the Brest region has already completed. In the northernmost Vitebsk region field works will continue until the end of August.
