External challenges didn’t prevent Belarus from maintaining macroeconomic balance in 2019. This was announced today at a meeting of the Council of Ministers by Prime Minister Sergei Rumas. He noted that the issue of the population welfare increase has been solved, inflation didn’t exceed 5%, gold and foreign exchange reserves grew, as did the net profit of the country's organizations. The number of unprofitable companies has decreased. One of the priority tasks for 2020 is maintaining the level of real wages for workers.
