Latvia to strengthen trade and economic cooperation with Belarus

Ways of entering the Belarusian market are studied by foreign diplomats. Latvia intends to strengthen trade and economic cooperation with Minsk. In January-October 2018 exports of services from Belarus amounted to $70 million. The share of IT sector amounts for more than a half. Latvia is successfully developing imports of pharmaceutical products and logistics services. Over the year, mutual trade grew by 28% and amounted to about $600 million. The development of cooperation was discussed at a seminar in Minsk. Diplomats of 10 CIS and EU embassies in Belarus, as well as relevant ministries of the country took part in it.
