Labeling of dairy products introduced in Belarus

In Belarus and in all countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, labeling of dairy products will become mandatory from June 1. From this date, a barcode must be applied to each package of cheese and ice cream. The unique code contains exact information about the product: manufacturer, name, date, time and place of issue. The system records the transition of goods along the entire supply chain. From September 1, condensed milk, cream, fermented milk products, whey, as well as non-alcoholic drinks containing milk fat, with a shelf life of more than 40 days, are subject to labeling.
