According to a contract signed yesterday in Belarus" Education Ministry, a Chinese corporation plans to invest approximately 40 million dollars in the construction of a student dormitory at the intersection of Dzerzhinsky Avenue and Semashko Street - the area which is currently home to more than 7,000 young people. The new residence hall will be able to accommodate about 1,000 people and will also include gyms, cafes and infrastructure for people with disabilities.A Chinese contracting company has already developed the building"s design, and Belarusian experts have approved it in accordance with nation-specific requirements. The dormitory is planned to be built in two years.
