Belarus plans to increase the export of high-tech products by a billion US dollars. This was announced by Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee at the presentation of the review of the country's innovative development. Alexander Shumilin said that last year the exports exceeded the planned volume and amounted to about 10 billion US dollars. The Belarus innovative development review lists achievements in the  legislative regulation of commercialization of intellectual property, and  centralization of sectoral innovation funds. However, there room for further efforts: experts point to the need to develop innovative entrepreneurship and market-based financing systems.
