Five wind farms to be set up in Belarus

Five wind farms will be set up in Belarus. Two of them will appear in the Grodno and Minsk regions, while three ones - in the northern and more windy region of the country. The first facility will be built in Liozno. It will provide power enough to cover all energy needs of the small town. Now the authorities are looking for potentioal investors. The cost and payback period of the project will depend on them. There are no barriers in Belarus for the development of wind power, experts say. Green energy provided by small windmills is in demand in private households.
