Fitch upgrades Belarus' long-term rating to «B»

The world-famous financial agency Fitch upgraded the credit rating of Belarus to «B» with a «stable» outlook. The Fitch experts came to this conclusion by analyzing the results of the Belarusian economy and the positive trends in its development. As a key factor, Fitch emphasizes the reduction of refinancing risks due, among other things, to the growth of gold and foreign exchange reserves. Another factor is improved coordination between fiscal and monetary policies, and increased flexibility in the exchange rate. The rating also takes into account the improvement in terms of trade, the state budget and prospects for economic growth.
