First batch of Belarusian electric vehicles to be produced in 2021

Belarus plans to release the first batch of electric vehicles in 2021. The task for the next year is to produce 500-1000 units of new generation vehicles worth up to $25,000 in equivalent. At the moment, there are many technical challenges and problems related to software, availability of charging infrastructure. In addition, government agencies are discussing financial incentives for purchasing electric vehicles, e.g. discounts for buying an electric car and a preferential loan program.
