Farmers completing spring sowing

Sowing spring crops in Belarus is nearly completed. 95% of arable lands have already been seeded and fertilized. Corn and sugar beets sowing is nearly complete, and the same is true of potatoes. The varieties are predominantly Belarusian, including Vektor (with red peel) and Briz with white. Gomel, Brest and Grodno regions are already sowing multivitamin buckwheat. In parallel with work in the fields, the equipment is being serviced at mechanical yards. In total, more than 8 million tons of grain, 5 million tons of sugar beets and million tons of potatoes are planned to be cropped this year.
