EV charging stations to be made in Belarus

Charging stations for electric vehicles will soon be produced in Belarus. Global Environment Facility is ready to invest $1.5 million into the new high-tech production. The project was initiated by the Ministry of Industry. The ministry believes the production of charging stations to be a promising venture, as the demand for electric cars in the world grew by more than 60% last year alone. Over the time of the Facility's presence in Belarus about fifty projects worth more than $250 million were implemented in such fields as energy efficiency and alternative energy, conservation of natural resources and creation of environmentally friendly enterprises.
