EBRD expands cooperation with Belarus

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is going to expand investment cooperation with Belarus, EBRD Vice President Philip Bennett said following the meeting with President Alexander Lukashenko. A lot of projects have been implemented over the 20 years of cooperation. In total, about € 2 billion have been invested in Belarus. In particular, the EBRD will partake in the project to reconstruct the M10 highway, water purification and waste treatment projects. The parties reached important agreements on cooperation in energy. The bank is also going to increase its investment presence in the Belarusian banking and finance sectors.
