Despite long-standing and close ties between cities, the Days of Minsk will take place in St. Petersburg for the first time. One of the central events aimed at the strengthening of interregional cooperation will be a meeting between Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets and St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko. Business circles are in anticipation of the opening of a business forum. The programme also includes a matchmaking session, an innovative potential exhibition and a fair of Belarusian goods.<br>St. Petersburg is the 4th largest exporter to Belarus, while the list of the country"s partners includes about 70 Russian regions.
