The development of the transport sector of Belarus and Russia was discussed today at the Belarusian government in a meeting with the delegations of the Russian Ministry of Transport. Uninterrupted communication is one of the elements of the Union programs of the two countries. Now the railways are gradually resuming pre-COVID service, and freight traffic is also growing. Belarus is an exporter, and sustainable logistics is very important for the country. For 8 months of the year, 27 million tons of cargo have already been transported through the railways of Belarus and Russia. This 4 percent more than over the same period last year. Growth continues, including within the framework of the signed agreement on the transshipment of Belarusian oil products through the ports of the Leningrad Region.
