Cuba intends to enhance trade and economic cooperation with Belarus with focus on mechanical engineering. MAZ, BelAZ and MTZ are already present in the Latin American market and regularly participate in the exhibition in Havana to seek new partners. The next step is the launch of joint ventures. The prospects for cooperation were the central topic of the meeting between the heads of the Belarusian industrial flagships with the vice-president of the Cuban government. Other possible ways to increase trade will be discussed during the visit of the Cuban head of state to Belarus. Our country posts a surplus in bilateral trade; imports from Cuba are primarily agricultural products.
