Confectionery industry increasing output of import-substituting products

More than 36 thousand tons of import-substituting products were produced by the confectionery industry of Belarus last year. According to the head of Belgospischeprom concern, the number of projects is constantly growing. Thus, the "Slodych" factory is installing a line for the production of soft caramel at its branch in Ivenets. The same factory is installing a new line for the production of flat wafers in large packing at its branch in Molodechno. The main task is to ensure supplies to the domestic market. The prospects of the industry were discussed at the international symposium of confectioners in Minsk. The forum brought together participants and guests from different countries.
