Companies relieved of foreign exchange sales obligation

Belarusian enterprises will no longer have to sell foreign exchange earnings. The decree signed by the Head of State gives a go-ahead for business development. The cancellation of foreign exchange obligations will improve the company's operations, as they will be free to channel their foreign currency revenues. Exporters are given more freedoms, Belarus will become more attractive for investors. The requirement to sell part of foreign currency earnings was enforced during the period of formation of the Belarusian market and contributed to the shaping of foreign currency supply on the foreign exchange market. Among the reasons for canceling the foreign currency sales were Belarus GDP growth as well as stability on the financial market.
