Common approaches in dealing with competition law violations are being discussed in Minsk. The Belarusian capital is hosting a session of the CIS Interstate Antimonopoly Policy Council. On agenda are developing the competition policy in conditions of digital economy, regulation and control of public procurements. Experts are discussing the introduction of prevention institutions to avoid penalties. These approaches have already been formalized in Belarus. In August 2018, the law "On Counteracting Monopolistic Activities" comes into force. The document is based on the recommendations of the Interstate Council, which has been working for 25 years already. The session in Minsk is to approve the action plan for the next two years.
