Over 130 energy sources running on local fuels to be put into operation within five years

Over 130 energy sources running on local fuels with a total capacity of 680 MW are expected to be introduced in Belarus in the next five years. Nearly a quarter of the energy will be generated at the nuclear power plant after it is launched. Belarus" local fuels as well as alternative energy from the sun, wind and water will be used more extensively. Two hydroelectric power plants will be built in Polotsk and Vitebsk next year.
