Belarusian houses in Japan

A complex of wooden houses from Shklov was erected in the Japanese city of Uruma, Okinawa Prefecture. The preparation of the project began two years ago during a visit by a group of Japanese businessmen to the Domostroenie branch of the Shklov newsprint factory. Foreign guests were interested in the good quality, environmental properties and competitive price of Belarusian wood products. During the meeting, the Belarusian ambassador and Japanese colleagues also discussed new forms of bilateral trade, in particular the production of traditional Japanese clothing from Belarusian linen, as well as the supply of dairy products to regional retail chains.
