Belarus will for the first time participate as an observer in the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. The participants will sum up trade and economic cooperation results, which is expected to be a central theme at the meeting in China. The newly acquired SCO observer status will allow Belarus to present its approaches for expanding trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation includes China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, SCO observers being Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan.
