An information system of public finance management is being created inBelarus. A 10 million dollar grant for implementing the project has been allocated by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The implementation and use of the system will help make the budget as transparent as possible and public funding will become entirely strategic.<br>The project consists of several stages. First, rules and procedures for budget management will be harmonised to be followed by the introduction of information technologies.
