Belarus seeks to enter top five countries in EBRD rating

Belarus seeks to enter the top five countries in the ranking of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This was stated by Minister of Economy Dmitry Krutoy. Now Belarus is 9th or 10th in the ranking. Upward movement depends on the speed of implementation of joint projects. Last year, the volume of banking investments in the Belarusian economy amounted to about €400 million. This year, it is planned to increase it to half a billion. EBRD is the largest investor for our country. A number of joint infrastructure projects is planned for this year. Among them are the transport sector and water supply. Also, the EBRD is ready to engage in the thermal modernization of high-rise buildings in Belarus, which are more than 20 years old.
